Purpose of the Job
The purpose of the Graduate & Youth Consultant role is to deliver graduate talent pipelines to the specific business/divisional portfolio being serviced. The role ensures the attraction, selection, and contracting of candidates to achieve business objectives. This role achieves success by driving an effective, professional, and proficient recruitment experience within their specific business/divisional portfolio for permanent and non-permanent staff members engaging in individual role-specific graduate and youth consultant activities and from time-to-time specific targeted recruitment (graduate, intern or youth) and/or bulk recruitment as required within their respective business/divisional portfolios. This role includes working with stakeholders at different levels internally and externally to achieve the portfolio’s objectives.

Employee Centric Delivery
Including campus activation campaigns, selection, induction and bursary holder engagement and management.
Overseeing the establishment of a pipeline of bursary students and graduates to fulfil future business needs within the specific business/divisional portfolio.
Overseeing the provision of support to the specific business/divisional portfolio with sourcing, screening, reference checking/validation, shortlisting of applicants, the bursary contracting process, and facilitating the job placement processes.
Collaborate with university stakeholders, including faculty members, administrators, and student support services, to ensure the smooth operation of the bursary program
Monitor the academic progress of bursary recipients through regular check-ins, academic reports, and performance evaluations.

Provide personalized support and guidance to students facing academic challenges, including tutoring, study skills workshops, and referrals to relevant resources.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance student success, such as academic goal setting, time management techniques, and access to supplementary learning materials.
Evaluate the effectiveness of the bursary program in promoting student success and make recommendations for improvements based on data analysis and feedback from stakeholders
Dependent on business/divisional portfolio, building relationships with recruitment partners, institutions and other related vendors to enhance the turnaround time and efficiency of the recruitment process and the outcome of successful placements.
Conduct awareness campaign at different institutions for bursary and graduate opportunities
Reporting on bursary holder recruitment, academics, and graduate placements.

Ensuring compliance with relevant labour relations frameworks and legislation.
Ensuring compliance to organisational and legislative governance frameworks and standards including the H&S requirements and POPI Act.

Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in Social Science, Psychology and Human Resources or equivalent
Grade 12, National Senior Certificate
Experience
+1 year in a recruitment consulting role rendering a bursary or graduate recruitment service to a business portfolio and/or providing recruitment services within an agency environment
Experience within the FMCG, retail sector or similar

Understands the regulatory and policy requirements to maintain and keep employee files and records. Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality when working with employee information.
Recruitment – Applies recruitment processes within established recruitment frameworks, policies, procedures and templates. Able to integrate the execution of recruitment and selection with other HC and operational practices. Conducts interviews and completes all relevant administrative requirements.
Processing – Uses the required system within this process. Knows the company process requirements with regard to keeping relevant logs, files and records up-to-date and accurate. Knows the requirements for accurate reporting on process outputs. Knows how to maintain compliance with policy and process requirements.
