Be in possession of a National Senior CertificateHave a Grade C registration with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA)Have at least 3 years’ experience in a high-risk security environmentHave sound communication skills in English (both written and verbal)Be in possession of a valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a vehicleBe in possession of a firearm competency certificate issued by the SAPS as per the new Firearm Control Act, Act 60 of 2000Be self-assured, well-disciplined approach with proven analytical skillsBe in possession of proven South African citizenshipBe able to work in a team and be results orientated and be willing to work shiftsSuccessfully undergo a pre-employment psychological screening assessmentSuccessfully undergo a screening and verification process, as well as credit and criminal record checksBe declared physically, and functionally fit for position and environment, as determined by a Physical and Functional Work Capacity (PFWC) assessment from a formal Job Risk Analyses at the relevant Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health CentreBe declared medically fit for position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Centre

Advantageous Qualifications:

Be in possession of crowd control management, tactical firearm, defence and restrain techniques, advance driving skills certificate/sCertified competent in the handling and use of a handgun, shotgun, self-loading rifle or carbine for business purposes

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure that Sibanye-Stillwater resources at the various operations are adequately protected through access control, guarding, observation and patrollingInspect buildings and other infrastructure, ensuring that it is secure, taking the steps reasonably required to address risks so identifiedEnsure that access to Sibanye-Stillwater premises is granted only to legitimate employees, contractors and visitors through the execution of Access Control Procedures, ensuring the verification of identity and employee statusThe execution of random and dedicated Patrols on foot or vehicle as applicable and required in terms of risk areasProtecting the Sibanye-Stillwater employees and visitors on site through the execution of applicable protocols and procedures developed to keep employees safePart-takes in crowd facilitation when required, providing first line reaction when crime takes placeProvide a customer friendly, attentive, and reassuring, professional security presenceControl the entrance of people and vehicles into Sibanye-Stillwater premises in terms of the approved access control proceduresConduct the appropriate searches as per approved procedures upon access and egress of people and vehiclesReport any suspicious behaviours and any potential problem areas to Supervisor and request back-up when necessaryReport and record all observations, Actions crime and security incidents on the SPS Crime Administration system (CiMMS)
