O.R. Tambo District Municipality, located in Mthatha, Eastern Cape, is seeking qualied
individuals to ll four (4) permanent reghter positions. This opportunity is ideal for dedicated
professionals passionate about re safety and emergency response services.
Position Details:

• Job Title: Fireghter (X4)
• Employment Type: Permanent
• Task Grade: 06 (Pending Job Evaluation outcomes)
• Salary Range: R186,622.46 – R242,249.45 per annum
• Work Location: Mthatha, Eastern Cape
• Reporting To: Senior Fireghter
  Minimum Qualications & Requirements:
• Educational Background: Grade 11
• Certications: Fireghter Certicate 1, First Aid Level 1
• License Requirements: Code C1 Driver’s License with a valid PrDP
• Work Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a relevant eld
  Key Responsibilities:
• Responding to re emergencies and carrying out reghting dutie

• Participating in re prevention initiatives and preparedness exercises
• Operating and maintaining reghting equipment as per safety guidelines
• Ensuring effective nancial and asset management practices
• Handling administrative tasks and compiling reports related to reghting activities
• Engaging with stakeholders regarding re safety and emergency protocols
