This opportunity is aimed at students who are passionate about engineering, metallurgy, and related disciplines, and who are currently studying at a nationally recognised South African university. Fields of Study (2026)
Applicants must be registered in their 3rd or 4th year of study in one of the following:
- Mechanical Engineering (BEng)
- Electrical Engineering – Heavy Current (BEng)
- Metallurgical Engineering or Chemical Engineering (BEng / Advanced National Diploma)
Minimum Requirements
- South African citizen
- Passed all subjects with an average of 70% or above
- Registered at a recognised South African university
Bursary Coverage
The bursary typically covers study-related costs in line with Minopex bursary conditions.
