Location and division


This data collection learning is offered at various clinics and facilities in the Eastern Cape including the Administrative Center Clinic, Stanford Terrace Clinic, Ngangelizwe CHC, Mthatha Gateway Clinic, Tsolo Clinic, Clinic Ntshabeni, Baziya Clinic, St Lucy’s Gateway Clinic, Mbekweni CHC, Mhlakulo. Clinic and Mqanduli CHC. This location is based at OR Tambo, Eastern Cape, South Africa.

Purpose of the position
As a Data Collector learner, your role is very important. You’ll be responsible for capturing clinical data from clients who have received services at healthcare facilities, mobile units, and outreach teams.

Your duties include maintaining electronic databases, verifying data accuracy, completeness, and consistency, and collaborating with relevant staff.

Minimum Requirements of Data Collection Learnership


To qualify for this role, you should meet the following minimum requirements:

Grade 12 (level 4 qualification)
National certificate and/or training in the HIV AIDS and STI program
Basic computer literacy skills
Beneficiary of DREAMS
Background or interest in HIV and public health
Proficiency in English and isiXhosa
Clear criminal record
Reside in proximity to the identified health facility
Additional Requirements
All candidates must be between 18-24 years old
Candidates must reside within 5 kilometers from the clinic they are applying for
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Data Capturer Learner, your responsibilities include:

Preparing, pulling, and filing client folders
Data capturing
Quality assurance
Linkage to care
Attending workshops, meetings, and training sessions as required
Data verification and reporting
Performing any other duties as assigned by the Data Monitor
