| Job Description | Verification and Inspection • Verification of shipments against supporting documentation • Inspection of shipments for damages and defects • Supporting staff during ad hock and periodical stock takes Loading and Offloading • Offloading items from vehicles onto designated offices and storage areas • Loading items from offices and storage areas onto vehicles • Serving purchases to customers in a courteous and professional manner Machine Operation • Operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trolleys etc to load and offload items from vehicles • Making sure that the equipment is properly serviced Housekeeping and Hygiene • Stacking of items in offices and warehouses according to stockroom utilization guidelines • Tiding warehouse fixtures, appliances and equipment etc • Sweeping and mopping warehouse floors and surrounding areas • Cleaning of warehouse restrooms • Safe disposal of all warehouse waste in compliance with the company’s guidelines on waste management Safety and Compliance • Adhering to the company’s occupational health and safety guidelines in discharging duties • Reporting all occupational health and safety incidences and hazards• And any other duties as assigned by his/her supervisor |
| Qualifications & Experience | • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) • Or Junior Certificate of Education (JCE) with a minimum of 3 years of work experience • A Valid driver’s licence and proven experience in forklift-operation for forklift operators |
